I have been monitoring various blogs, websites, and other sources of information. I have moved away from traditional and cable news outlets. When they started airing Trumps so-called press conferences in their entirety in 2015, I knew there had to be alternative avenues.
This election cycle we learned that the CEOs of all the major news outlets donate to Trump’s campaign and their outlets air all his absurdities because he is thought to be ratings gold. However, that gold has long since begun to tarnish. It’s not even ‘Fool’s Gold’. It’s the idiocrasy, and the media continues to do us all a disservice.
Some so-called news channels are really licensed at entertainment entities. Many are committed to spreading pro White Christian, pro male, anti-woman, anti-minority, anti-democratic, autocratic doctrines. Fortunately, the severely segmentation of media has also provided spaces for democratic, pro equality (racial, gender, sexual orientation, non-racist religious, and human rights) views to be shared. I include this blog among the latter resources.
I want provide you with interesting observations now that the election season is genuinely engaged:
#1 We really don’t need campaigns in this country to linger for two or more years. All it really does is give the money class time to unfairly influence our choices. The choices we are then left with are rarely competent in governance and policy. Really, what we get are usually ineffective telegenic heads of the executive branch and totally bought and paid for ideological partisans in the legislative branch. This happens on all levels of government.
#2 Trump has been running for President since 2015. He has never stopped for various reasons. He has been running for nearly 10 years. Actually, he has been grifting all that time, while the monied interests have been working on how they can gouge as much as they can from the American electorate and political systems.
#3 Kamala Harris has been running for the Presidency for almost three months. She is now running tied with him or ahead of him to date, in what are thought to be the most consequential polls.
#4 Trump has raised 100’s of millions if not billions of dollars over the past 3 three years. He has used those funds to pay for his mounting legal issues. If his fundraising dries up from big donors, he won’t have money to campaign in the final weeks before election day. Mind you early voting begins in some states in the next week or two.
#5 The Harris/Walz campaign has out raised the Trump campaign by more than 2 to 1 since she secured the required delegates to become the ‘Presumptive Nominee’.
#6 Joe Biden never intended to finish the 2024 campaign for President. Biden, James Clyburn and the Democratic brain trust understood the polling and the way the Republicans, the media, and some Democrats had worked to denigrate VP Harris over the course of his term. He held off dropping out until he had the leverage to dictate how Democrats would move forward.
#7 Within 20 minutes of dropping out of the 2024 Presidential race, Biden endorsed VP Harris for President, despite the desires of big money donors. Within 72 hours a much maligned Harris secured the commitment of the required number of delegates to become the Democratic nominee. Within the first week of her candidacy VP Harris’ campaign received over $300 million in donations. More than 80% of those funds were small dollar donations.
#8 Joe Biden had what appeared to be a disaster of a debate against a flailing Trump. He then went on, in subsequent days, to give almost 20 speeches, some extemporaneously, where he gave clear articulate comments. I am saying, it has all been orchestrated by very crafty elder political statesmen.
#9 Democratic pundits had openly called for an open nominating process at the 2024 convention. That notion was quickly tossed aside with everyone falling in line behind Joe Biden’s choices. Currently, the Democratic Party is united behind the Harris/Walz campaign.
#10 The Trump camp was caught completely off guard. They were running against Joe Biden as being too old and incompetent. They allowed the release of the ‘Project 2025’ White Christian Nationalist manifesto. They chose JD Vance as their VP nominee. Now both those decisions appear to be a potential drag on the GOP candidates since Trump looks like a whiny old candidate giving incomprehensible speeches, with a VP choice who has the lowest candidate favorable ratings of any candidate for national office in recent times.
There is new speculation that the team behind the Heritage Foundation intends to get Trump elected, execute their plans for the first 100 days of Project 2025, then use the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office and install Moscow friendly JD Vance as President. If this is true, it is rich with karma and poetic justice. What true useful idiots Trump and his supporters are.
Given the SCOTUS ruling on ‘Presidential Immunity’, there is nothing anyone could do once Vance became President. They could not prosecute him for overthrowing Trump, nor using the US military to put down any resistance from MAGA supporting militias and protestors. These are intriguing times.
The voting electorate has to awaken and stand against the Putin backed MAGA/Heritage Foundation move towards theocratic autocracy; Or, vote in a Democratic sweep of governance that will take steps to ensure we never see this type threat again. That will also entail constant voter awareness and engagement. Yes, that means it will always be in voters and taxpayers best interest to stay politically awake and engaged.
There is one final interesting point to consider. The SCOTUS ruling on Presidential Immunity has an unintended consequence. The threat of violence from MAGA supporters before January 20, 2025, can now be met with the use of military forces controlled by Joe Biden. What’s interesting is that such violence, as organized movements, is currently more likely to take place in ‘Red States’ or in rural areas of ‘Blue States’. You see which communities would be instantly impacted especially if an outgoing Biden orders drone strikes against caravans of MAGA terrorists. It’s all legal now to use these forces domestically.
