The first thing I did at the beginning of the midterm election cycle in July was understand that all mainstream outlets were blind to anything counter to the narrative of a ‘Red Wave’. I looked for new sources for creditable insights. I have provided thoughtful reflections and hope when so many seemed pessimistic. I appreciate the the folks at the YouTube channel of the ‘Meidas Touch Network’ and ‘Michael Moore’s daily Blue Tsunami postings because they provided a counter narrative to the mainstream media who remained in lockstep with the MAGA Republican gaslighting.

An example of my point is how the mainstream s lauding bully Ron DeSantis’s ‘Red Wave’ in Florida by suppressing votes and intimidating educators, corporations, and pushing racist Christian Nationalism as the heir apparent to the GOP leadership role. The problem is that the mainstream media has totally ignored how the ‘Blue Tsunami’ swept through Pennsylvania. Not only did Democrats win a US Senate seat, the Governorship, the Lt. Governorship, but they flipped the house of the legislature making the ‘Speaker of the House’ a Democrat as well.

In Michigan the ‘Blue Tsunami’ was stark. Democrats won every state office and the control both houses of state legislature. In Michigan the voters took away gerrymandering, and Republicans lost almost everything.

In Wisconsin Republicans retained a US Senate seat by 1% however voters denied the Republican control legislature a veto proof majority while reelecting it’s Democratic Governor..

In Minnesota, Democrats won control of the state Senate from Republicans while also defending their House majority against a Republican takeover attempt. Democratic Gov. Tim Walz also won reelection.

Republicans were short in their quest for veto-proof majorities in both legislative chambers in North Carolina and Wisconsin — two states with Democratic governors.

Democrats defied the odds and have retained their control of the Senate and could possibly pick up a seat after the December 6t runoff in Georgia.

The Republican Minority Leader in the US House of Representatives predicted they expected to pick up 60 seats. Tonight it is possible Democrats could retain control of the House and Nancy Pelosi could remain the ‘Speaker of the House’. As of this posting 19 House seats have not yet been called, of that number 10 of those elections are in California.

In the Arizona Governor’s race, prior to Sunday’s big 97,000 ballot update in Maricopa County Hobbs still has more than a 26,000 vote lead over Lake. Now the MAGA election denier candidate will now need to win 56% of 160,000 statewide ballots left.

Democrats have secured control of the Senate. It is interesting, that Mitch McConnell has engineered a 6-3 majority in SCOTUS, and that overconfident ideological has cost him a chance to be the Majority Leader, The outrageous overturning of abortion rights energized Gen Z voters, Independent voters, and the Democratic base to turnout and ensure few MAGA supported candidates won their elections.

My point, the mainstream media is talking about Ron DeSantis while ignoring the much greater accomplishments of Democrats in other states.

I am blessed to have sensed that the ‘Red Wave’ was not likely once the Alito draft opinion on abortion was leaked in the spring of 2022. That changed the perspective people had on the economy. Then the January 6th Commission held public hearings and we began to see just how serious the threat of racist religious autocratic Christian Nationalism endangers democracy for the whole country.

As we move closer to the November 8 midterm election day the Republicans and the mainstream media keep telling us that Americans are upset because of rising prices. They keep telling us rising crime is also an issue. If Republicans win control of the House they will spend their time impeaching everyone, though no one will be convicted in the Senate. In other words, they will spend their time and our tax dollars chasing down vendettas for DJT. They won’t come up with any policies that help lower inflation, or improve the lives of most people. They will just put on impeachment spectacles, pass more tax cuts for the rich and try to stymie the US Government so DJT can run in 2024.

1. Biden is not responsible for the Afghanistan withdrawal. Trump made that decision before the 2020 election. He got the Talban leadership out of prison and then gave them a full year to take control of the provinces before the fall of Kabul. The Taliban effectively cut off the routes for many Afghans who helped the US military to leave. Former soldiers blamed the Biden Administration for not getting those folks out,
2. Inflation is a global issue caused by the COVID worldwide pandemic. It was the Biden Administration that cut through the problems and fixed many of the ‘Supply Chain’ issues. By acting like the pandemic didn’t exist Trump and the Republicans allowed the consequences of denial to fester and get worse.
3. Crime has risen more in states controlled by Republicans than those controlled by Democrats. Of the top ten states with the highest crime rates 2 are controlled by Democrats. DC, which has over 30 different policing agencies, makes the list, but it suggests that a strong police presence does not deter crime. Out of the top 25 cities with the highest crime rates 23 of them are in states controlled by Republicans. There is more crime in Arkansas and Oklahoma than in New York city. Actually New York City does make the top 25 list.
4. The bills passed by Democrats since Biden became president are creating jobs and helping citizens during a challenging period. Nationally, vaccinations increased by over 600% in his first three months. Ask yourself how billionaires increased their wealth during the DJT handling of the pandemic. Ask yourself how making sure the wealthiest people pay some taxes is a tax increase on the ‘Middle Class’. That is the lie Republicans are telling.. Their other huge lie s that Medicare and Social Security are drivers of inflation. It’s the tax cuts for the wealthy people, obscene corporate profits by price gouging and the grave mishandling of the pandemic that drive inflation.

I recently had a discussion with an ‘Influencer’ in his 40’s. I am in my late 60’s. It was a friendly and respectful discussion. Back in the 60’s and 70’s the civil rights era was fully engaged. Don’t get me wrong, there had been creditable movements dating back to before the ‘Emancipation Proclamation’. when Reconstruction took root following the Civil War. There were always efforts across the country to combat slavery, lynching, racism, and other forms of terrorism by Whites against both Black and Indigenous peoples in the US. Likewise, while many Blacks in the US were unaware of it, there were also struggles and efforts in Central America, South America, and the Caribbean against colonization, oppression and genocide.

When I had the good fortune as a young man to sit and discuss the civil rights movement with men like Benjamin Mays and Asa Yancy, I was not a strong believer in the philosophy of MLK and frankly of voting.. I believed el-Hajj Malik Shabazz (Malcolm X) and the Black Panthers had a more effective understanding of things. The realty is that the Malcolm’s words n the right context, the philosophies of the Black Panthers and even Marcus Garvey are the ideas that won the day.

Tragically,, it was allowing integration and the willingness to fully assimilate into the ‘European Mythology’ of Christianity that has brought us back to the brink of suffering the indignities of another failed reconstruction for human rights, civil rights, and equality. It’s listening to Black entertainers who have spent most of their careers being politically disengaged to suddenly wake up and join the team of racial oppression that signifies that the wrong questions are being asked and the wrong answers are being received. To have Ice Cube, 50 Cent, Lil Wayne, and Kanye West come out in support of the White Racist Christian Nationalist loving Trump tells me you’re being duped.

West goes on Fox-nonsense and trashes the concept of ‘Kwanzaa’ but speaks supportively of Christianity, the largest of the Abrahamic religions, all of which have been used to conquer, colonize, and oppress indigenous cultures all over the world using genocide, rape, and capitalism. You might as well use a sledgehammer to announce your indifference to true freedom by politically supporting the fallacy of white superiority.

The question asked of me by this male Black influencer in Georgia was. “Why should I vote for Stacy Abrams instead of Brian Kemp?” I wasn’t shocked, my initial response was Stacy wants you to have full access to your rights, especially your right to vote. The other wants to kill you, which was reflected in his response as Governor to the COVID-19 Pandemic. As long as COVID-19 was adversely affecting more people in minority communities, he defied measure to curb the spread of the virus. According to the Mayo Clinic, Brain Kemp would not allow Georgia state agencies to report the actual numbers of COVID cases and deaths, decreed cites could not enact mask mandates, .and at one point Kemp asked the largely rural controlled state legislature to pass one of the most repressive voter suppression bills and he signed it into law while in a room of White legislators sitting under a picture of a slave plantation.. Then they passed a bill allowing more guns on the streets without having to obtain permits, then they complain about fictitious rising crime rates..

The reality is that many Black men have issues with women in political or religious leadership. This influencer went on to talk about how Black women emasculate Black men with their success as if men are not also successful. Then he went on to disparage the LGBTQ community.. I asked him if he had ever heard of ‘Buck breaking’ where White Christian slave owners had Black males restrained and raped in front of their communities as a method of intimidation. I asked if he was aware of how pedophile slave owners would have young Black children sleep with them under the guise of using them as ‘footwarmers’.. All these things and worse were done under the professed ‘Christian right’ of Whites over inferior races.

Every dehumanizing act religious Whites, ‘Evangelicals’ stand silently by in quiet acceptance, is a return to the days when nonwhites, regardless of whether they became Christians were inferior.. How else do you explain how they rationalize their embrace of a clearly dishonest Herschel Walker over an Ordained Minister in Raphael Warnock? While the cable news outlets of MAGA-world try frame a ruling by a DJT appointed Federal Judge, with little experience, as victory for the manic former twice -impeached President, New Polling suggests that regular voting Americans are concerned about the survivability of democracy. At least at this point it is a greater concern than inflation, gas prices, cancelling student loan debt..

The new media vibe is that DJT has a big win because a judge he appointed did the inexcusable and granted a ruling that doesn’t stop the investigation into the documents found at Mar-A-lago, it merely delays it. But here it the key point, her ruling doesn’t stop the ‘Intelligence Assessment’ into the possible damage to national security. Remember, I posted about the ‘CIA’ issuing an alert around October of 2021 concerning spies who were killed, arrested, or compromised and flipped into double agents. DJT had a list of who those agents were and how much they were being compensated.

Should US Intelligence track even one such case back to DJT, given the time frame was after he left office with highly classified documents, fits the time frame surrounding the alert, there will be an active act of treason from the former President.

While Republicans hope the ruling will silence the news about documents found in his office, there is also the fact that new information regarding the plot to overthrown the US Government on January 6, 2020 will be coming out in the next couple of weeks and that information is likely to be just was explosive.. Also we can expect more information regarding the conspiracy to plot the events of that day to come to light if indictments from the Fulton County DA in Georgia are issued. Also don’t be surprised if arrest are made of MAGA-terrorists who have been threatening election workers, school board members, and other public office holders.

Republicans were hoping that DJT would not become the focus of the midterm elections. Right now DJT continues to bring the spotlight on himself, which by the way reminds women and young people that the SCOTUS ruling on abortions would not be possible if Mitch McConnell had not packed the high court with a Conservative majority thanks to DJT’s appointments. Oh and that judge who just ruled for a Special Master in the the Mar-A-Lago documents case was confirmed November 12, 2020, after election day.

The most potentially damaging aspects of the DOJ search have not been stopped. There are more lead boots to fall and more elected Republicans are going to swept up in the coming tide….”Biden’s speech throws fascist thinking into chaos. The Democrats are supposed to be weak. Neither do they want to be seen pushing back against a president who is himself pushing back against not all Republicans, just Maga Republicans. In that case, the very obscenely rich might encourage, or create conditions for the encouragement of, the balancing Biden’s new aggressive posture with Trump’s old aggressive posture, and thus conclude that they are flip sides of the same demagogic coin.

The press and pundit corps’ bothsidesism were insufferable before a Democratic president did something that no Democratic president has done in my lifetime. Afterward, though, bothsidesism may not be the bane of liberal democracy. It might instead be a sign of hope.”

A Democratic president who does not back down changes everything

I find it amusing that people warn calling out White Supremist Religious Nationalists. These MAGA-Heads believe that only they should have the privilege to govern and vote,. Manty feel that they will turn violent if we speak the truth about who they are. However, the facts show that every since Columbus mistakenly landed in the western hemisphere. violence has been the race based calling card of White Europeans. In November this nation celebrates ‘Thanksgiving’, a holiday when the ‘Aboriginal Peoples’ helped hapless settlers seeking ‘Religious Freedoms’ and prisoners survive the coming winter.

How did those god-fearing settlers and their descendants repay the peoples who provided food, aid, and comfort? They committed genocide against the people native to the land. In North America alone over 12 million human beings were slaughtered within the first 300 years of the initial landing of the land grabbing pilgrims. In the whole western hemisphere that number was probably in the 100s of millions. At one point Argentina committed mass genocide to rid or displace all people of African descent.

When Africans were brought to the hemisphere as slaves the murderous inhumanity of ‘Racist White Supremist Religious Nationalists’ only intensified as Blacks skinned people were declared to be chattel, no different from livestock. In the Caribbean Whites set up ‘Breaking Farms’ where newly delivered Africans were terrorized in a effort to condition them to accept their enslavement, the murderous treatment, and indignities. It was here that the practice of ‘Buck Breaking’ where the biggest and strongest were physically beaten and raped in front of all the other slaves. Pregnant women, who were raped on the voyage from Africa, where had their arms and legs tied to horses who were then sent off in all directions to tear her body apart. Or if she was near giving birth she might be placed in the sun for days, her arms and legs tied to stakes, then her stomach cut open for the baby to fall out and the woman bled to death. All this in the open to terrorize those who might think escaping. At one point Argentina committed mass genocide to rid or displace all people of African descent.

Every one who was not a white male was subordinate as ordained by their concept of god. Even after the Civil War during the ‘Reconstruction’ period, Whites took up arms to murder and push out land owners in communities established by Blacks. After burning many Black communities that grew more affluent to the ground, Whites sought to terrorize and use the criminal justice system as a tool for racist to frame their policies and enforcements as legitimate.

The mentality of White superiority and privilege has never died. Racal suppression became the law of the land in the south and in the north. During the period of the ‘Great Migration’ when millions of Blacks left the south for jobs in the northern industrial cities, they faced a violent racial backlash from Whites, many poor European immigrants, who felt their jobs were threaten.

Poor Whites found a calling in policing, initially tracking runaway slaves to northern cities. The 2nd Amendment was rooted in giving these right to bear arms to these types who were deputized to return runaways to their enslavement. So it is no surprise that much of the law enforcement in America today is still conducted with terroristic practices and blatant racism. Today it is common to see unarmed Black citizens killed by police, while many White mass shooters are taken into custody. Most White mass shooters who don’t survive after they commit their violent acts die by their own hand, not as a result of being killed by police.

My point is as I listen to and read the responses to Joe Biden’s speech last week, I find it laughable that the media is suggesting that Joe Biden’s honest assessment of the White racist MAGA-world terrorists will embolden them to become more violent. Minority groups in this country can tell you that they have always been violent. The only difference is that we’re seeing them extend their vitriol to anyone, no matter their skin pigmentation, who doesn’t support their world views and their false religious interpretations.

They no longer care about democracy, because majority rule will threaten their flawed notions of racial superiority. Democracy and a reordered criminal justice system would hold them accountable for their terrorism, and put an end to their most overt practices of racism. Democracy will energize and engage their victims. This is why legislatures in Red states are passing bills that forbid unvarnished history being taught. This s why ‘Critical Race Theory’ an advanced law school class scares them to no end.

Racist White Religious Nationalists have been terrorist all along. It’s time we are open about this truth. It’s time we move to shut it down! It’s time we call them out, identify these cowards with their pictures all over social media. Let’s call out the companies that hire them, the churches that teach them this nonsense, especially the Q-anon wacky stuff. Then if they want to take to the streets, let’s call out our military to handle the threat, foreign and domestic. Best yet, lets keep control of Congress and the Executive branch, so the DOJ can indict and prosecute not just DJT but every member of Congress and the Senate who plotted the January 6, 2020 insurrection. Let the DOJ prosecute the spouses of SCOTUS justices who are found to have been a part of the plot.

I came across this little nugget that reminded me of a couple of reports I heard last year.. Now I get it. Most of the MAGA-world hasn’t won’t digest this for awhile. Many in the mainstream media are alluding to it, but they are looking for more proof before they say anything out loud. So let me make it plain right here. DJT has already betrayed American Intelligence. He has already sold out human assets in some cases it has costs lives, or worse resulted in compromised spies to become double agents.

One need only look at the timing to see a correlation between the time DJT left office in possession of documents listing foreign agents and when they dozens began being captured, killed, or compromised. The DOJ is holding these explosive cards close, which is one the affidavit to secure a search warrant for Mar-A-Largo probably won’t become public in my lifetime. I am just waiting for the moment when the likes of Lindsey Graham and Ted Cruz are publicly confronted with this reality.

They are going to be very careful with this but I imagine that every member of Congress who involved in the January 6, 2020 planning is already under scrutiny as well….”

The former CIA operative Douglas London noted that, at the end of the day, when things go south with an agent no one is being held responsible while other former agents argue that the issue of losing informants, that is usually considered normal in one way or another, is now more urgent since it has been disclosed publicly.

According to people familiar with the situation, the reason for the widely spread message is to entice the front-line case officers and those directly involved in recruiting informants to tighten security and management of informants on an individual basis.”

Dozens CIA Overseas Informants Killed, Captured or Compromised

When you’re a ‘Baby Boomer’ and you remember the ‘Civil Rights Era’, you should be familiar with the ‘COINTELPRO’, counterintelligence program conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) from 1956 to 1971 to discredit and neutralize organizations considered subversive to U.S. political stability. It was covert and often used extralegal means to criminalize various forms of political struggle and derail several social movements, such as those for civil rights and Puerto Rican independence.

It was under this domestic program that the FBI and the police agencies of many states and municipalities waged open warfare against minority groups organized to seek civil rights and civil liberties promised to all American citizens, not just White Americans of European heritage. The program successfully infiltrated many of these organizations, carried out a few assassinations, i.e.. Malcolm X (el Hajj Malik el-Shabazz), Fred Hampton, Dr. Martin Luther King. Later after the program was officially disbanded US intelligence agencies continued their efforts by supplying ‘crack-cocaine’ from South and Central America as well as the Caribbean.

Eventually, many activist who were not killed were discredited with drug addictions or other forms of substance abuse. The struggle for rights gave way to gang turf wars for who could control the flow of drugs into minority neighborhoods. In addition to drugs, minority neighborhoods were flooded with guns. Whites have always terrorized people of color. Whether they were the indigenous populations, or people kidnapped from their lands and enslaved, there were always terror mechanisms used to keep these populations under control. In the late 70’s and early 80’s it was drugs and various levels of criminality that were used to implement mass incarceration on mostly state and local levels.

In the early 80’s Ronald Reagan needed something to counter Jimmy Carter. who came off as a humble religious Christian. Unfortunately, he was a victim of the cynical racism of his time. While Carter made several moves to extend LBJ’s bold moves towards racial equality, Reagan seized upon the quiet racism of the White Christian Churches. Reagan created the myth of the ‘Black Welfare Queen’ collecting tens of thousands of dollars from the government largess, a fancy dresser all at the expense of the American taxpayer. He found a receptive ear in White Christian churches who heeded his call to become politically engaged under the leadership of people like Jerry Falwell, Billy Graham, Pat Robertson and the like. Reagan and the Republican Party raised their profiles and they turned out their followings in support of the Republican Conservative anti-equal rights and anti-voting rights agenda.

All this history provides a foundation to where we are today. Looking White Christian Nationalism and religious based racism square in the face. Racism is immoral yet it has always been embraced to serve the interest of Europeans. I am convinced that you cannot succeed at the highest levels of capitalism being moral and ethical. Religion is a capitalistic business. I am not talking about appearances, I am speaking in the most literal fashion. The Church looked in the other direction at the behavior of Jesuit Priests they sent to the western hemisphere.

They embraced the role of the their faith in the implementation of slavery on several continents. They still do it today in many ways . The belief is that their concept of a supreme being condones their lack of true morality as long as their churches are obscenely profitable, it cares more about their privilege over other racial groups in the name of Christ, It cares about making money and flexing political power.

White Christian Nationalists openly tout their guns and desire for racial warfare in the streets. This is why the Evangelical Church can embrace DJT as anointed by their concept of god to bring their brand of authoritarianism to this evil globalist liberal idea of democracy. These folks don’t care who they have to challenge. So the FBI which engaged in police state terrorism against civil rights activists and groups are now being terrorized by MAGA -world thug Christian Nationalists who published the names of some of the agents who searched Mar-A-Lago along with the names of their family members and the schools their children attend.

I decided to remain quiet about the DOJ. I wasn’t going to echo the noises of Progressive cable news talking heads, Foxnonsense talking heads, or reactionary GOP politicians. There are multiple investigations into DJT who has a habit of committing crimes in broad day light, loudly intimidating his sycophants. then daring the criminal justice system to do anything to him because he feels he is protected by his White Supremist, Evangelical/Christian Nationalist/domestic terrorist base.

Actually, what protects all those folks effectively, is the apathy and lack of enthusiasm of every people ambivalent about voting, whose lives will be most affected if the committed MAGA minded candidates win elections while spouting the now debunked ‘Big Lie’ about the 2020 Presidential results. These MAGA minded people have to held accountable for their actions and their incendiary words. Its going to take real Americans Progressives and Moderates, rural, urban, and suburban turning out to vote in the 2022 midterms to expunge these anti-facts/anti-truth candidates from political life.

There are very real challenges in this country. On top of inflation, an ongoing constantly mutating pandemic virus, income inequality, the Republican attacks on voting/women/LGBTQ/non-Evangelical Christian religious rights, we have climate change, declining educational standards, and authoritarian take overs of local governmental entities. While Progressives and Moderates within the Democratic Party continue to struggle over some policy issues, Conservative entities have been implementing laws to role back the rights to vote, women to get abortions, and what teachers can teach in schools.

I heard comments from people on Conservative cable news outlets openly say that they fear that DJT will be assassinated. They don’t say who would assassinate him, but these comments raise the specter that if DJT dies for any reason in the up coming weeks, conspiracy theories will abound that he was killed by some ‘Deep State’ forces. They will insist that ‘God’s chosen’ person to be the President of the US will have to be avenged with a civil war against the institutional structures of our democracy that has to be first and foremost for the benefit of wealthy White Supremist Evangelical Christian Nationalism. White males first and all others will be subordinates.

More and more facts are coming out every day, that clearly show that DJT directly plotted to overthrow the 2020 election, and if he is reelected he will do all he can to burn down the system of governance that we have(not that they were ever perfect). In dong this, he would never relinquish power again. So never mind that DJT loudly announced that his Mar-A-Lago was raided for no reason.

Nearly the complete team of Republican Congressional leadership has condemned this as outrageous and likened it to tactics of the Third Reich. The irony is that al the defensive comments were textbook examples of the Hitler Regime’s Minister of Propaganda, Joseph Goebbels. In other words, DJT’s comments  and those of supportive political and media figures ae all lies. You cannot trust anything, nothing that comes out of MAGA world is legit. How do we know, Well new reporting informs us that the search of Mar-A-Lago on Monday was preceded by two FBI visits and a subpoena. As I write this, breaking news reports that the FBI was looking for documents related to highly sensitive nuclear weapons that should have never been taken out of the White House for any reason.

I want to make one last point. Hillary Rodham Clinton was absolutely right, from the bucket of deplorables, to threat to our rights DJT would marshal into our lives. I just wanted to get that last shot in at those who helped DJT win in 2016 by less than 80.000 votes in electoral college districts.

This nation began on the foundation of religious fascism. I am not talking about the formal declaration of separation from Britain. I am talking about. the original settlers. I am talking about those religious purists who deemed the inhumane burning of those who observed any belief other than their concept of christianity as witches and doomed to death by fire. From the beginning these religious zealots have always taken comfort in the notion that their god approved of violence against non-white indigenous people, women of any race who didn’t practice the faith the Pilgrims departed England for the freedom to observe.

Now 422 years since the Pilgrims landed on the North American continent, zealots, now-a-days referred to as the ‘Christian Taliban’, are attempting to accomplish in law what the ‘Founding Framers’ of the Constitution prevented, allowing the newly formed US Government to prohibit the adoption of a national religion…”Madison’s original proposal for a bill of rights provision concerning religion read: The civil rights of none shall be abridged on account of religious belief or worship, nor shall any national religion be established, nor shall the full and equal rights of conscience be in any manner, or on any pretence, infringed.¹ The language was altered in the House to read: Congress shall make no law establishing religion, or to prevent the free exercise thereof, or to infringe the rights of conscience.² In the Senate, the section adopted read: Congress shall make no law establishing articles of faith, or a mode of worship, or prohibiting the free exercise of religion. . . .³ It was in the conference committee of the two bodies, chaired by Madison, that the present language was written with its somewhat more indefinite respecting phraseology.⁴ Debate in Congress lends little assistance in interpreting the religion clauses; Madison’s position, as well as that of Jefferson, who influenced him, is fairly clear,⁵ but the intent, insofar as there was one, of the others in Congress who voted for the language and those in the states who voted to ratify is subject to speculation.”

But now there are Conservative efforts to overturn and rewrite the constitution to make the racist Christian Nationalism the governing principles and policies of our country. This philosophy is basically a return to the notion that only authoritarian minded “Christian Whites’ should be allowed to vote, or maybe even breathe the air……”A movement is rising to revive Christian domination of public and private life, and it is a movement fueled by racists. It is specifically opposed to the separation of church and state, and it seeks to destroy public education, ban abortion, censor teaching about race and racism, as well as gender and sexuality.

This movement was behind Trump’s election and used this irreligious man as their instrument to gain power and control of the Supreme Court.

Three weeks before he won the Republican nomination for Pennsylvania governor, Doug Mastriano stood beside a three-foot-tall painted eagle statue and declared the power of God.

“Any free people in the house here? Did Jesus set you free?” he asked, revving up the dozens before him on a Saturday afternoon at a Gettysburg roadside hotel.

Mr. Mastriano, a state senator, retired Army colonel and prominent figure in former President Donald J. Trump’s futile efforts to overturn the state’s 2020 election results, was addressing a far-right conference that mixed Christian beliefs with conspiracy theories, called Patriots Arise. Instead of focusing on issues like taxes, gas prices or abortion policy, he wove a story about what he saw as the true Christian identity of the nation, and how it was time, together, for Christians to reclaim political power.

The separation of church and state was a “myth,” he said. “In November we are going to take our state back, my God will make it so.”

Mastriano, the Republican candidate for Governor of Pennsylvania, participated in the January 6 Insurrection.

Mr. Mastriano’s ascension in Pennsylvania is perhaps the most prominent example of right-wing candidates for public office who explicitly aim to promote Christian power in America. The religious right has long supported conservative causes, but this current wave seeks more: a nation that actively prioritizes their particular set of Christian beliefs and far-right views and that more openly embraces Christianity as a bedrock identity.

Many dismiss the historic American principle of the separation of church and state. They say they do not advocate a theocracy, but argue for a foundational role for their faith in government. Their rise coincides with significant backing among like-minded grass-roots supporters, especially as some voters and politicians blend their Christian faith with election fraud conspiracy theories, QAnon ideology, gun rights and lingering anger over Covid-related restrictions.

Their presence reveals a fringe pushing into the mainstream.

“The church is supposed to direct the government, the government is not supposed to direct the church,” Representative Lauren Boebert, a Republican representing the western part of Colorado, said recently at Cornerstone Christian Center, a church near Aspen. “I’m tired of this separation of church and state junk.” Congregants rose to their feet in applause.

Some states may become inhospitable for non-Christians and for Christians who don’t believe in compelling everyone else to worship their way.”

In 2008 when BHO was running for President, a Conservative White Plumber from Ohio, named ‘Joe’ approached him and raised the prospect that his policies would lead to a ‘Transfer of Wealth from the Middle Class’.. The media and unsure White voters seized on this comment, as did the McCain/Palin campaign in an effort to undermine the BHO candidacy. the thing is ‘JTP’ was partly right, but he was aiming at the wrong target.

The truth is that a massive transfer of wealth had already begun long before BHO. It was initiated by Ronald Reagan and the usual crowd of ‘Robber Barons’. This time they enlisted the support of the Christian Right, under the banner of the ‘Silent Moral Majority. They were silent on the social issues relative to civil rights and racial equity. They were silent on the atrocities and abuses of socio-economic polices., They had opinions and sometimes violent responses to abortion, though they were silent on the welfare of children once they were born. They became the foot soldiers of Republicans who cloaked their true desires for wealth and power in theology.

But back to ‘Joe the Plumber’, since the Reagan Presidency here is what the real transfer of wealth in this country has looked like::

-When Reagan was elected there wasn’t a single billionaire in America. Since the implementation of ‘Trickle Down Economics’ homelessness spreads like a relentless fungus, destroying the lives of millions of Americans — particularly millennials.

-.The most important reason millennials are so badly screwed these days is the various changes in our tax code that began in the 1980s. Reagan dropped the top income tax rate on the morbidly rich from 74% down to 27%, and cut corporate tax rates from 50% to functionally nothing.

-The average billionaire pays an income tax rate of under 3%, and the majority of our nation’s largest corporations not only pay nothing in annual income taxes but most have so gamed the system that they get money back. Where does that money come from? It’s taken out of the taxes the government collected from you and me.

The changes in the tax code were designed to starve the Federal Government from resources to provide for the general welfare of American citizens.

-This 42-year-long process, with Reagan’s original massive tax cuts amplified by trillions more in tax cuts for the morbidly rich from the George W. Bush and Donald Trump administrations, has produced a $50 trillion transfer of real wealth from the middle class to the top 1%.

-Republicans have handed all that money over to the top 1% — and five Republicans on the Supreme Court ruled in Citizens United that billionaires and corporations owning politicians isn’t corruption or bribery but “free speech” — its getting harder and harder to do anything about it.

-Every time any sort of reform — even modest, reasonable reforms — come before Congress, a united block of Republicans in the Senate haul in another billion dollars in campaign contributions and Mitch McConnell and his friends kill it in the Senate.

-Republicans, right across-the-board, continue to deny, in deference to the fossil fuel industry and its billionaires that funds their elections. They’ve put money and power above the fate and future of your and your children’s planet. That is the bottom line on climate policies that could reverse the impact of climate change.

-They even tried to end our 240-year experiment in democratic self governance, and are now actively embracing neo-fascist autocracy, openly trying to emulate the rightwing strongman governments that have taken over Russia and Hungary.

-They’ve even succeeded in overturning the right to abortion and are openly embracing homophobia and misogyny.

-400 million guns drenching our country and blood, and Republican Senator John Cornyn just today saying that Republicans are unified across-the-board to prevent any further action to stop gun violence in America?

–Back in the 1980s, huge numbers of Boomers voted for the Reagan Revolution that kicked off this whole political and economic death spiral. The guilt is largely ours.

-Republicans are trying to marinate your children in their white supremacy and racism by forcing teachers to push a false narrative about American history — all while they try to rig our elections by purging millions of minority, Boomer, and Millennial voters from the rolls.

-The good news, however, is that, increasingly, our two generation are working together to throw Republicans out of office and elect progressive Democrats who understand these issues and know how to do something about it.

It will take informed engagement for two more generation as the actual assault has been on going since ‘Great Depression of the last 1920’s, caused by the wealth class of that time. They have been working to reverse FDR’s programs to counter the negative impact on the lower and middle classes. Then When Lyndon Johnson signed the Civil and Voting Rights Acts of the 1960’s racially motivated religious leaders teamed up with big money corporate donors ion a long term strategy that has led us to this moment.
