There is A Sinister Plan Behind The Scenes

I have a different perspective on the 2024 election as the voting phase concludes. As I look at the reports of the early voting surges, I hear about the effectiveness of the Harris/Walz ground game in turning out the vote. I am also hearing about a virtually non-existent ground game for the Trump/Vance campaign headed by Elon Musk.

It would not surprise me if the race was called fairly early on the evening of November 5th with a couple of huge surprises. Florida might fall to Democrats. I know that seems unlikely, but something is trending there right now. They have an ‘Abortion’ measure to overturn the DeSantis 6-week ban. Republicans in the Conservative enclave called ‘The Villages’ has been holding large rallies weekly in support of Harris/Walz. Unpopular Florida Senator, Rick Scott is in a tight battle with Democratic challenger Debbie Mucarsel-Powell. Just this past week a Federal Judge just tossed a case by the DeSantis Administration over threats to pull the licenses of television stations that run ads in favor of the measure overturning the Florida 6-week abortion ban.

All these issues are sending more people out to vote. We could see the state flip in the Presidential race and flip the Senate seat. I know this is counter to the media and polling narratives but what seems to be happening on the ground, where actual votes are cast suggests this unlikely probability is a very real possibility. Their 29 ‘Electoral College’ votes could go to Harris.

North Carolina is also a potential flip in the Presidential race. The state is in play. The Harris/Walz campaign has committed dollars from their more than $1 billion dollar war chest to secure the state’s 16 ‘Electoral College’ votes.

Georgia went for Biden in 2020 by little more than 11,000 votes. The Republican legislature and Governor have worked to try to ensure that a Democrat does not win their 16 ‘Electoral College’ votes in 2024. They changed the laws to allow people to challenge the voter registration of people they don’t know. You used to be unable to challenge a registration unless you lived in the same county. Now you can do mass challenges. Over 30,000 registrations were challenged by just 11 people. Republican operatives from other counties can challenge the registration of people living in areas made up of minority citizens. The county then pulls the registration. They should notify the voter. The voter then has to take steps to have the registration reinstated. Georgia legislators, mostly from outside of the urban areas, have chosen this insidious manner of voter suppression to discourage voting.

This is happening in other states as well. These strategies are conceived and implemented with groups such as the ‘Heritage Foundation’, the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), the Koch Brothers-run Americans for Prosperity (AFP), and the State Policy Network (SPN).

The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC)has been operating since the 1970s to create model bills and encourage elected officials to introduce those bills. They have been historically focused on social issues like guns, and gay rights: the Equal Rights Amendments. ALEC’s use of model bills is worrisome from the perspective of democratic representation in that some lawmakers are simply cutting and pasting legislation, without their constituents’ knowing, from an outside interest group.

Americans for Prosperity, tend to place a more laser-like focus on economic regulatory issues. It was formed in 2004 out of the remains of an older organization that Charles and David Koch had founded. By now, it encompasses something that looks almost like a political party; in fact, the Washington Post described it as “America’s third biggest political party that you’ve never heard of.

The State Policy Network (SPN) is a nonprofit organization that serves as a network for conservative and libertarian think tanks focusing on state-level policy in the United States.[The network serves as a public policy clearinghouse and advises its member think tanks on fundraising, running a nonprofit, and communicating ideas.[4] Founded in 1992, it is headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, with member groups located in all fifty states.

Hundreds of voter suppression, anti-abortion, taxation, and anti-regulation bills introduced and enacted in state legislatures across the country were written by organizations such as these.

There is Leonard Leo of the Federalist Society. He influenced the selection of the last three of the six Christian Nationalists to the Supreme Court. Their main goal is to invoke legal interpretations that favor the interests of religious conservatism, the fossil fuel industry, White Nationalists, the financial industry, and corporate executives.

American lawyer and conservative legal activist Leonard Leo wants the conservative movement to become as “impactful and effective as possible, he plans to do this by financially backing conservative groups that are focused on more than just ideas and policy, but on “operationalizing and weaponizing” those ideas to “crush liberal dominance at the choke points of influence and power.”

In an extensive new interview to right-wing Daily Caller, Leo said that it is now time to “crush liberal dominance at the choke points of influence and power” by “operationalizing and weaponizing” the policy ideas he helped cultivate in the past. Leo sent a letter to grant applicants this past September to emphasize that he will be looking for different criteria this year them:

“Vastly insufficient funds are going toward operationalizing and weaponizing those ideas and policies. When you get to a certain point in a movement’s history, while you always have to continue to develop ideas and to educate, what becomes even more important is operationalizing those ideas, taking the principles and philosophy that you’ve developed, and finding ways to make those a reality in our culture. The Left has been very effective at this over the past couple of decades, and it’s time for the conservative movement to be much more leveraged in the way it tries to implement its beliefs.”

Leo told Daily Caller that what the Left has done tactically is something he wants right-wingers to emulate:

“They’ve mobilized people. They’ve created infrastructure to get the word out, to train people to be leaders, and for those leaders then to have the resources they need to create communities of people who will go out and do everything from protesting and demonstrating, to writing in the popular press, influencing the entertainment industry, putting pressure on academic institutions, sometimes even litigating, and sometimes working in various international organizations like the UN to effect change.”

Leo said from this point forward what he is looking for is to back people “who have the greatest capability of entering into and helping to control the choke points of society, it’s really important to find those people, to identify them, to recruit them …” He then gave some examples of the kinds of things he wants them to do:

“It could be challenging government actions so that you can reinvigorate things like the separation of powers and checks and balances and federalism … It could be challenges to government policies that relate to DEI or other parts of the woke cultural agenda … it’s time to take what you already know, and to operationalize it, and that means being at the tip of the spear, filing those lawsuits, building those talent pipelines, placing personnel in positions of influence in culture, society, and government, launching campaign-style tactics to beat back things like ESG and DEI. That’s the kind of thing that needs to be done.”

Leo concluded his interview by saying that although this presidential election is important to him, it is not the most important thing to accomplish his long-term objectives:

“Yes, very important what happens in November, I don’t want to undercut that, but in the medium term, what’s perhaps even more important than elections is the conservative movement building beachheads in areas like news, entertainment, business and finance, corporate C-suites, educational institutions.”

Leo is one of the most prolific fundraisers in American politics. He’s also one of the most consequential figures on the American Right. As a leader of the Federalist Society, he has worked for decades to foster strong judicial and legal appointments, and as an advisor to former President Donald Trump on judicial selections, he helped Trump choose the three conservative Supreme Court justices instrumental in overturning Roe v. Wade.

After Trump, Leo is quite possibly the man most hated by the Left. And with an estimated $1 billion to spend on aligned groups, the conservative activist holds the attention of both sides of the aisle. In a rare interview with The Daily Wire, published Sunday on the Morning Wire podcast, Leo laid out his vision for how he can use his influence in the movement to empower the types of work that will be necessary to compete with the Left, and win.

“As someone involved in philanthropy, I want to make sure that the conservative movement is as impactful as possible in doing things like defending the rule of law, and improving our society and culture,” he shared with The Daily Wire. “That means that the participants in our movement, the many organizations that are involved in trying to improve our society and our culture and the law and politics and public policy, need to be as impactful and effective as possible.”
